Oh god is this a hard question to answer. I managed to narrow it down to two people...
Tiffany Bozic is an Oakland based painter who's work I have adored for years now..
More recently I found Gregory Euclide and have VOWED to buy one of his paintings one day when I can afford to spend a few grand on art. They are absolutely incredible huge insanely detailed pieces that you really have to see in person to fully appreciate.
What was your very first job?

Also from my old broken down blog...
"Talent" - at Knott's Scary Farm. I was a zombie in the Ghosttown Dead and Breakfast maze, which featured scenes from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser, Alien, and some random zombie movie that i can't remember the title of. I had a huge crush on/brief fling with a punk rock boy with huge green bi-hawks who played drums in a band called iconoclast - he played Freddy Kruger in the maze. Other highlights included scaring an ENORMOUS MAN so badly that he fell on his ass, getting discounted Knott's chicken strips and all the boysenberry punch that I could possibly drink (free refills all night!), and the freedom to roam around the park after my shift was over. The worst part - getting my makeup done early and then being spotted by young kids. Some of them would laugh, which was fun, but other ones... well... let's just say that the other ones weren't so happy about it.
What are some of your favorite, forgotten albums that have stood the test of time?
Submitted by PeterGibbons.
I decided instead of listing favorite, forgotten albums I'm going to post some of my favorite songs, some are newer, some are older, but I think a lot of them are overlooked or are things that not ALL of my friends have heard.
Maria Taylor, Hitched:
Picking one song off of this album was so difficult, the whole thing is amazing. Maria Taylor is one half of Azure Ray, this is off of her first solo album, which she put out this year. Also, I apparently can't post this since I bought it on Itunes (I'm guessing), so go check the album out over there if you're curious.
Yann Tiersen, Rue des cascades:
French composer, wrote the soundtrack to Amelie.
TurboNegro, Don't Say M**********r M**********r!:
TurboNegro is simply the funniest band ever, and if you're not listening to them you are MISSING THE FUCK OUT.
Teengenerate, Dressed in Black:
Super fun japanese garage band. Unfortunately they've broke up. :(
Flogging Molly, The Worst Day Since Yesterday:
Irish punk band that I heart. They've gotten pretty popular the last few years, and have been on the warped tour and playing on KROQ down in LA. Some of their songs also have a very fun pirate swagger to them. All of their songs are great beer drinking songs. This is one of their slower songs.
Tiger Army, In The Orchard:
Tiger Army is sort of the pretty boy band of pyschobilly, but their lead singer has a great voice and I loved their second album. This song is really mellow and more rockabillyish then most of their stuff.
Necromantix, RubberMonks & LeatherNuns:
One of my favorite pyschobilly bands. Takes a few minutes to get started and includes cheesy evil background laughing. I warned you. The bass in this song is amazing though, these guys were great live, even if I did see them in the worst loudest and smallest solid brick room ever.
David Vanian and the Phantom Chords, Chase the Wild Wind:
Rockabilly crooning from the lead singer of The Damned.
Distillers, City of Angels:
At the time Sing Sing Death House came out Brody was Brody Armstrong, and Tim Armstrongs influnence is really apparent in all the songs on this album, and the whole thing is GOOD. Followed up by the immensely disappointing Coral Fang.
VNV Nation, Epicentre:
VNV Nation is a very popular, very poppy "futurepop" ebm band. This isn't my favorite VNV song, but is a more recent and pretty popular one.
Wumpscut, Soylent Green:
Clips from Soylent Green in German! Was a really popular club song, back when I was going out a lot a couple of year ago.
Break down of my free Accidental Life/Dismemberment Insurance Coverage from my wonderful INS Credit Union:
Loss of Life - basic coverage - $1000 plus 100% of additional coverage
Loss of Both Hands or Feet or Entire Sight of Both Eyes - $1000 plus 100% of additional coverage
Loss of One Hand and One Foot - $1000 plus 100% of additional coverage
Loss of Speech and Hearing in Both Ears - $1000 plus 100% of additional coverage
Loss of Either Hand or Foot and Entire Sight of One Eye - $1000 plus 100% of additional coverage
Loss of Either Hand of Foot - $500 plus 50% of additional coverage
Loss of Entire Sight of One Eye - $500 plus 50% of additional coverage
Loss of Speech or Hearing in Both Ears - $500 plus 50% of additional coverage
Loss of Thumb and Index Finger of Same Hand - $250 plus 25% of additional coverage.
Loss means, with regard to hands and feet, actual severance through or above wrist or ankle joints; with regard to sight, speech or hearing, entire and irrecoverable loss thereof; with regard to thumb and index finger, actual severance through or above the metacarpophalangeal joints.
It seems like the people who have lost either both hands or feet or their ENTIRE sight are getting a little ripped off to me (pardon the pun). Why should they only get the same payout as someone who's only lost one hand and one foot?
Plus there's all sorts of combos missing. What if I lost one hand and my hearing? I think this chart is all wrong, it should work more like a checklist, with points that you can add up for each missing thing.
What's your musical horoscope? (Put your music player on shuffle and write down the first 10 songs that come up.) Inspired by Stephanie.

What's your favorite foreign accent?
I really love Cockney English, mostly just because I love words like arsed, loo, nutter, bloke, daft, bloody, and telly.
My favorite foreign language is Italian though. I wish there was more of a use for it daily here so I could pick it up easier.
